With Amazons game "New World" i fell in love. The mysterious and magical world of Aeternum, as an avid gamer and MMORPG player, I've spent close to 900 hours at this point playing this game. Those hours have been spent exploring, battling, and losing myself in the immersive world. In this blog i will discuss my thoughts, what's good, where improvements could be and my experience with the game.
The Good
"New World" has stunning visuals and from the moment i set foot in Aeternum i was in shock by the beauty of it. This comes down to the attention to detail with the game's environment. The forests, towering mountains, and sprawling fields are a sight to behold. It's evident that the developers have put a lot of time and effort into creating the world we play in. The day and night cycle as well as weather effects add an extra layer of immersion, making it very easy to lose yourself in the game for hours on end.
Deep and Engaging Crafting System
One aspect of "New World" that stands out is the crafting system. All players can gather resources from the environment around them including ores, herbs, animal hides and wood. These items can be used to craft weapons, Armor, potions, and even furniture providing you have purchased a house. This system adds an extra layer of gameplay that is both rewarding and engaging.
Dynamic PvP and Faction Wars
"New World" has an amazing PvP experience, with players being able to join one of three factions and take part in large-scale wars for control of territories. This adds a sense of urgency and excitement to the game , as alliances and companies are formed, and strategies are made to conquer and defend players territories.
The Issues
The initial launch was awful. Like many large-scale MMORPGs, "New World" had it's fair share of issues at launch. This ranged from server stability, long queue times, a multitude of bugs affecting the experience for many players. These issues were rather quickly addressed by Amazon, many bugs and issues do occur during update and are regularly fixed but it should be kept in mind that you may encounter issues if you are looking to play everyday opposed to a casual player. This is because you will experience most likely every feature the game has to offer which could be facing bugs at the current time, so keep in mind there are issues like every other game on the market.
Conclusion
Overall, "New World" offers a truly captivating and immersive experience for all players looking to lose themselves in a magical world filled with adventure, conflict, and mystery. While there are improvements needed to be made, that can be said for lots of games. However, the game's stunning visuals, deep crafting system, amazing PvP offer more than enough reasons to dive in and explore Aeternum. I myself am excited to see how "New World" will evolve with future updates, but for now i will continue to sharpen my sword, gather my resources, and delve deeper into the mysteries of Aeternum.
